Drones Over Dufferin is an ongoing musical collaboration between brothers David and Duncan MacKinnon, featuring ambient guitar and pedal steel improvisations combined with digital and reel-to-reel tape loops, drones and found sounds.

What began initially as a one-off series of sessions to record the EP Blood Harmony in February of 2023, has evolved into an ongoing project of long-form improvised compositions and live performances.

As well as the Blood Harmony EP, there are six full-length records, including Circularity and Grievous Landscapes, as well as Aural Obscura Volumes 1-3, which are a selection of guitar and pedal steel improvisations, combined with real time digital and reel-to-reel loops, recorded live off the floor.
