Drones Over Dufferin is an ongoing musical collaboration between brothers David and Duncan MacKinnon, featuring ambient guitar and pedal steel improvisations combined with digital and reel-to-reel tape loops, drones and found sounds.

What began initially as a one-off series of sessions to record the EP Blood Harmony in February of 2023, has evolved into an ongoing project of long form improvised compositions and live performances.

As well as the Blood Harmony EP, there are three full-length records, Aural Obscura Volumes 1-3, which are a selection of guitar and pedal steel improvisations, combined with real time digital and reel-to-reel loops, recorded live off the floor.
